Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) said that it issued more licenses for financial services in 2014 than the previous year, owing to growing rates of electronic and smart services.

A total of 13 margin-trading brokerage firms were given licenses in 2014, recording a growth by 85% compared to the previous year, SCA said in its performance report for 2014.

This comes as part of the authority’s strategic objectives to develop and create a stable, investment-attracting environment for the securities and commodities markets.
