UAE – Mubasher: the United Arab Emirates has maintained its ranking as top MENA country on the World Bank’s ‘Ease of Doing Business’ report for 2016.

Meanwhile, the UAE lost 9 notches to take the 31^st position globally.

The UAE also scored in the world's top 10 for obtaining construction permits, connecting to electricity services and registering property.

All GCC states’ rankings witnessed a decline, as Bahrain took the 65^th position, while Qatar took the 68 ranking.

Oman lost 4 notches to rank 70^th globally. Saudi Arabia fell by 33 notches to rank 82 globally. Kuwait ranked 101 globally.
