ADX opens at decline on real estate, telecom stocks

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) fell in Wednesday’s early trades, pressured by the real estate and telecom sectors.

The general index fell 0.36% or 14.77 points to 4,073.87 points by 11:40am UAE time.

The real estate sector declined 2.7% as Aldar Properties retreated 2.63%.

The energy sector decreased 1.8% after Dana Gas levelled down 2.27% to AED 0.43.

The telecom sector retreated 0.6% as Etisalat lost 0.6%.

On the flipside, the investment sector rose 1.5% as Waha Capital grew 1.5%.

The banks sector levelled up 0.03% due to an increase in National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) by 0.65%.

Trading volume reached 50 million shares exchanged through 509 transactions, generating AED 47.07 million.
