In its session headed by Dr. Abdullah Nassour, Jordan’s Prime Minister, the cabinet approved the draft law of renewable energy project and energy rationalization for the year of 2014. The draft law has been sent to The Legislation and Opinion Bureau.

The government had withdrawn the draft law from the House of Representatives based on a request by the parliamentary committee of energy and mineral resources and private sector to modify the article No. 11 of the draft law to include tax exemptions for renewable energy systems and equipment.
