Amman benchmark index rose by 0.65% to close Sunday’s session at 2136.57 points.
A total of 7.5 million shares were traded through 2,556 transactions at a turnover of JOD 9.6 million.
The shares of 119 companies were traded, the shares prices of 65 companies rose, and the shares prices of 22 declined, while the remaining ones kept flat.
At the sectors level, the industry sector rose by 1.26%, the services sector increased by 0.84% and the financial sector rose by 0.45%.
As for sub sector indices, the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industries, Tobacco and Cigarettes, Utilities and Energy, Commercial Services, Diversified Financial Services, Transportation, Technology and Communication, Electrical Industries, Real Estate, Educational Services, Food and Beverages, Engineering and Construction, Banks, Insurance, Media, Chemical Industries, Hotels and Tourism, Textiles, Leathers and Clothings sectors increased by 4.18%, 2.82%, 1.32%, 0.97%, 0.90%, 0.81%, 0.65%, 0.60%, 0.60%, 0.58%, 0.49%, 0.47%, 0.41%, 0.33%, 0.26%, 0.15%, 0.15%, 0.12% respectively. While the Paper and Cardboard Industries sectors decreased by 2.69% respectively.
The top three gainers were, the Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries Co. by 7.48%, Real Estate Development by 6.25% and Al-quds Ready Mix by 5.00.
The top three losers were, Emmar Investments & Realestate Development by 4.84%, Middle East Insurance by 4.55% and Comprehensive Multiple Project Company by 4.42%.
