CBJ assets, liabilities grew 8% last June
Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) budget, including liabilities and assets increased at the end of last June by 8% to JOD 14.28 billion compared with JOD 13.2 billion at the end of June, 2013. Statistics issued by the central bank showed that this resulted from the increase in foreign assets by 16% to JOD 12.2 billion at the end of June, 2014, compared with its level at the end 2013.

On a monthly basis, foreign assets increased by 7% at the end of June to JOD 11.4 billion compared with last May. The foreign assets include gold, cash, deposits, T-bills, debts and bonds. On the other hand, local liabilities decreased by 22% to JOD 2.04 billion at the end of June, 2014 compared with its level at the end of 2013.
