Chairman of furniture and carpet traders syndicate, Sharaf Al-Hayajna, that the sector’s portion of local market plunged to 10% after it exceeded 90% during the eighties of the last century besides exports to Arab neighboring countries.

He added that the sector’s imports of furniture, wood, paints, carpets, and curtains hit JOD 728 million at the end of the first half of 2014 compared with the same period last year.
