The Jordan Hotels Association’s General Manager Yassar Al-Majali said that the Dead Sea hotels occupancy rate has declined to 40% this month, in comparison with 80% in 2013, reported Jfra News.
Al-Majali added that hotels are facing a state of challenge and uncertainty at present because of the status quo in the region.
The Jordan Tourism Board issued a statement to the Jordanian embassies abroad, indicating that the current events in the region have not affected the tourism in the Kingdom, and that touristic places are still receiving visitors.
