Cairo-Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse extended its upward trend for the fifth straight day, buoyed by banking and industrial stocks.
The index rose 0.18% or 2.66 points to close Monday at 1463.79 pts.
The industrial sector was the top advancer with a gain of 0.52%, boosted by Alba and Delamon which added 0.4% and 9.38%, respectively.
The commercial bank sector closed 0.24% higher, as Ahli United Bank gained 1.83%. Meanwhile, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait as well as National Bank of Bahrain fell 4.25% and 0.57%, successively.
The service was up 0.17%, helped by Seef Properties which climbed 2%.
Seef reported a 8% rise in FY14 net earnings to BHD 10.82 million ($28.7 million), compared with around BHD 10 million ($26.5 million) in 2013.
A total of 4.4 million shares were exchanged through 68 trades at a turnover of BHD 1.97 million.
