Cairo-Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse closed the first session of March in the green, rising nearly 0.1%, or 1.50 points, to 1476.31 pts, its highest since October 2014.
The market got a boost from Alba and Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait.
The industrial sector climbed nearly 2.89%, as Alba gained around 2.97%.
The banking sector rose 0.05%, spurred by Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait which was up 0.43%.
Meanwhile, the investment sector declined 0.47%, hurt by Arab Banking Corporation which fell 1.33%.
The services also closed 0.26% lower, as Batelco lost 0.57%.
Trading volume increased from 335.255 thousand shares to 1.258 million shares, while turnover rose from BHD 148.6 thousand to BHD 392.822 million.
