Bahrain-Mubasher: Bahrain stock market snapped a six-day downward trend, boosted by the commercial banking sector.
The benchmark rose as much as 0.15% or 2.25 points to close Monday at the 1454.74 level.
Turnover reached nearly BHD 552,000, generated from the exchange of 1.855 million shares.
The bourse got a boost from the commercial bank sector which gained 0.34%, as Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait climbed 5.63% and Al-Salam was up 1.71%.
Ahli United Bank was the most active in terms of a traded value, reaching BHD 426,000. Meanwhile, Khaleeji Commercial Bank led by a traded volume, with nearly 1.09 million shares.
