Bahrain-Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse ended in the positive territory for the second straight day, supported by banking stocks.
The benchmark pared its gains at close, rising 0.18% or 2.54 points to reach the 1,395.24 level.
The commercial bank sector was the top gainer, advancing 0.52%, as Ahli United Bank and Al-Salam gained 0.68% and 0.71%, respectively.
The industrial sector followed, edging up 0.39%, boosted by Alba which was up 0.4% at BHD 0.496.
Meanwhile, the service was the only sector which headed south, falling 0.7%, hurt by Batelco which fell 1.18% and Seef which dropped 1%.
Zain Bahrain, Khaleeji and Bahrain Islamic Bank as well as Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait closed on a flat note.
Turnover reached BHD 304,470, after 1.07 million shares changed hands through 52 transactions.
