Manama – Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse ended Wednesday’s session in the green, extending a rise to the third successive day, as it was powered by bank stocks mainly AUB.
The benchmark index rose 0.36% or 5 points to close at 1400.25 points.
The banks sector was the top gainer, with a rise of 0.59%, after AUB rose 0.68%. It was followed by the services sector that gained 0.55% helped by Batelco that jumped 1.2% to BHD 0.338.
The industrials sector came third with 0.39% growth, directly backed by Alba that closed 0.4% higher at BHD 0.498.
Meanwhile, the investment sector was the biggest loser, with a fall of 0.13%, as it was weighed by Esterad that slumped 9.54%.
The banks sector lost 0.06% pressured by AUB that slipped 0.68% to $0.730.
Wednesday’s turnover amounted to BHD 647,200, while traded volume reached 1.74 million shares.
