Tunisia and Algeria agreed to build partnerships between public and private companies in the building sector of the both countries to launch construction sites in both countries, the Ministry of Public Works, Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development said in a statement.

These partnerships were decided during the visit paid, Sunday and Monday in Algiers by Hédi Larbi, Minister of Public Works, Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development, the statement specifies.

According to Mr. Larbi, whose remarks were reported in the press release, Tunisia could draw on Algeria’s programmes in the field of basic infrastructure and social housing to develop the building sector.

The two countries’ firms could establish joint business groups to capture markets in Africa, he said.
