Bahrain bourse sheds BHD 18 mln  amid weak liquidity
Bahrain bourse ended Sunday’s index on a down note. Bahrain All Share Index ended the session 0.23% down, or 3.19 pts, below the 1390 pts, at 1385.86 pts. Esterad lost 0.27%, to 1412.52 pts.

Maged Essam, technical analyst, at Mubasher Financial Services, stated that Bahrain bourse reversed the 1400 resistance key. If the index breaks through the 1400 level, it will target the 1500 – 1700 mark on the medium term.

Ahmad Abdel Hameed, managing director of Roots Securities, stated that the Bahraini index ended 3.19 pts lower, snapping a two-session rise to close at 1390 pts.

Abdel Hameed stated in a phone call that liquidity levels dropped today, expecting the index to move sideways between support at 1340 and resistance at 1400. A total of 1.67 million shares changed hands, at a total value of BHD 332.6 thousand.

Inovest was the worst performer, dropping 8.77%,m to $0.260. Meanwhile, Nass was the top mover to the upside, gaining 4.49% to BHD 0.186.

Al Salam Bank Bahrain topped most actives by trading volume and value, as more than 545 thousand shares changed hands at a total value of BHD 116.6 thousand.
