Bahrain bourse up on banks amid weak liquidity
Bahrain bourse ended Wednesday’s session on a mixed note. Bahrain All Share Index gained 0.11%, or 1.47 pts nearing 1400 pts at 1398.69 pts. Esterad fell 0.05% to 1422.95 pts. A total of 1.39 million shares changed hands at a total value of BHD 371.6 thousand. Ahmad Imam, technical analyst, stated that the Bahraini index closed at a key resistance level at 1400 pts.

Imam told Mubasher in a phone call that the index saw a sideways movement since March start between 1340-1400 pts.

Abdullah Al Samari, a technical analyst, stated that the Bahraini index moved up and may see sideways movement in the medium and short term.

Ithmaar Bank was the top mover to the upside, gaining 6.25% to $0.170. Meanwhile, Gulf Finance House was the worst performer, declining 9.52% to $0.190.

Alba topped most actives by trading value and as 276 volume, as 276 thousand shares changed hands at a total value of BHD 131.4 thousand.
