Delta Sugar Co. financial statements for the fiscal period that ended on March 31, 2014 showed a decline by 15.3% in net profit to EGP 51.6 million compared with EGP 60.9 million recorded in the same period a year earlier.

The sugar producer had posted EGP 189 million net profit in FY13, compared with EGP 234 million net profit in FY12.

FY13 earning per share also declined to EGP 1.16 against EGP 1.42 in FY12.
The company’s capital is estimated at EGP 711 million, divided into 142.2 million shares at a par value of EGP 5 per each.
