EFG Hermes, the leading investment bank in the Arab world, announced that it is in talks with Tharwa Capital to form strategic alliance. Tharwa Capital is a financial investment and advisory firm focused on the equity markets in the GCC The investment bank noted that this step comes in the frame work of the group’s strategy that aims to expand in new activities like financing, in addition to providing corporate consultation in relation to different debt tools. EFG Hermes announced, its financial results for Q1-14 posting a nearly three-fold year-on-year rise in Group Net Profit after Tax and Minority Interest of EGP 119 million on Total Group Operating Revenues of EGP 563 million.
