UAE declares holiday for private, public sectors on 25 May
The UAE has declared a holiday for both public and private sector workers on 25 May to mark Isra Wal Miraj. Work will resume for both the private and public sectors on 26 May 26, according to Mubasher Trade and Research.

The holiday for the public sector and federal agencies was declared on Tuesday evening through a circular issued by Humaid Al Qatami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources. According to the Labor Minister, Saqr Ghobash, 25 May will be an official paid holiday for all private sector employees. Hence, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has decided that 25 May 2014 is an official holiday for the market and trading will be resumed on 26 May 2014.
