Etihad Airways announced yesterday expanding its reach to India with four new return flights from Abu Dhabi, reported Gulf News, adding that the new flights, additional services to Bengaluru, Chennai, Kozhikode and Hyderabad, are in response to “strong demand”.

On another note, Etihad Airways has been named as the Official Global Airline Carrier for Expo 2015 in Milan. Etihad Airways, shares the title with Italy’s Alitalia.

It is worth noting that Etihad Airways had previously announced that it expects to acquire a 49% stake in the Italian carrier after the two airlines stated that the principal terms had been agreed to.
