Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs at the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Mr. Abdullah Al-Shibli said that the Ministers of Economy in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states have agreed to create a joint Gulf committee for consumer protection in the GCC region.

The committee will work on boosting consumer protection, meeting consumer needs and interests, shall apply local and international regulations and provide quality standards in consumer goods and services in the GCC region.
