Saudi Arabia second largest Arab FDI recipient with $9.3 bln
Saudi Arabia took the second position in the Arab region with foreign direct investment of nearly $9.3 billion in 2013.
The UAE ranked first with $10.5 billion. Egypt came third with $5.6 billion.
According to a report by the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (DHAMAN), the investment cash flows to Saudi Arabia are estimated at 41% last year. The Kingdom led the GCC with $208.3 billion, followed by the UAE ($105.5 billion), then Egypt ($85 billion). Lebanon came fourth with $55.6 billion, followed by Morocco ($50.3 billion).
