Afinancial broker from National Takaful Co. (Watania) announced that majority shareholders are planning to sign a binding agreement with strategic partners from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

The aim of this agreement is to buy majority stakes in the Company following the approval of the competent authorities, the broker said.

Watania had achieved a profit of AED two million during H1-14 compared to a net loss of AED seven million during H1-13.
