Saudi Arabia’s expenditure volume on energy and construction contracts in the last 10 years totaled SAR 1.320 trillion, The Peninsula Times stated citing a report by MEED.
The GCC countries are experiencing a period of high economic and industrial activity for 10 years with contracts totaling $1.1 trillion, according to the report.
These were highest in the UAE at 1,389 contracts, Saudi Arabia (1,064), Qatar (444), Oman (243), Kuwait (277), Oman (243) and Bahrain (97).
Saudi Arabia ranked first in contracting over a 10 year period across the GCC. The UAE ranked second in these contracts but took first place from 2007-2013.
