Banks operating in the UAE have pumped AED 2.4 billion in new personal loans during the month of June, according to data issued yesterday by the Central Bank of the UAE.

Data showed that personal loans sector in national banks acquired 77.5% of the total increase in new loans provided by banks to customers in all sectors in June.

Personal loans rose from AED 293.5 billion by the end of May to AED 295.9 billion by the end of June, registering a growth by 0.8%.
