The first nuclear power plant in Barakah in Abu Dhabi’s northern region has been completed by 57%, according to Mohamed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, CEO of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC).

The power plant is committed to its deadline of delivering clean energy by 2017, he added.

Al Hammadi made this announcement in his inauguration speech at World Nuclear Association Forum held in London, during which he spoke to representatives from 30 countries about ENEC’s efforts and its contributions towards youth development.
