Commenting on the DFM’s performance today, head of Gulf Research in Nemma Investment Nedal Kholuy told Mubasher “We have noticed a big drop in turnover in Dubai on Wednesday, as investors are sparing cash for Emaar’s awaited IPO.”

It is expected that the market will remain trapped in a sideways movement till the middle of next week, he added.

Most sectors gained today, with only the industrials and consumer staples sectors ending flat. The top gainers were the insurance and telecommunications sectors.
