Foreign currency assets of United Arab Emirates central bank jumped 29.7 per cent year-on-year to a record AED327.6 billion ($89.2 billion) in July from a year ago as deposits and holdings of foreign securities rose, Gulf News cited data as showing on Thursday.
2014 figures are provisional and subject to revision. Assets include Dubai government bonds worth AED36.72 billion. The central bank had not published data for June 2014 until now.
