Marka seeks to boost income, turn to profit
Marka Company deputy Board Chairman Khaled Al Muhairy has revealed that the recently established joint stock company is currently examining means of buying up-and-running projects in the retail and hospitality sectors, including cafes and restaurants, to ensure achieving a strong and quick presence that would reflect positively on its income and revenue sources, thus transforming the Company into a profitable one in a short period of time.

Owning up-and-running activities falls within Marka’s scope and represents the ideal choice that is in line with his strategic priorities represented in acquiring leading positions within the retail and hospitality sectors both locally and regionally, Al Muhairy noted, adding that such steps would boosts Marka’s income and revenue at a quick pace, thus contributing to growing its shareholders’ equity.

It is worth noting that Marka was recently established at capital of AED 500 million. Moreover, the Company’s initial public offering (IPO) is to commence on September 25, 2014.
