The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended its first session in October flat, shedding 0.13 pts to 5042.79 pts.
Turnover was seen at AED 566.98 million as 198.2 million shares changed hands through 4377 transactions.
The telecom sector topped gaining sectors, after rising by 0.89% as du rose to AED 5.640.
The banking sector added 0.24% today, supported Emirates NBD, which closed at a 1.1% gain at AED 10.
Meanwhile, the investment sector lead decliners, losing 0.6% as SHUAA, DFM and Gulf General Investment Co. performed negatively.
The real estate sector shed 0.02% due to mixed performance as Arabtec fell 1.74% and Emaar Properties added 1.3%.
The newly-listed Marka dropped 4.14% to AED 1.390.
A total of 30 companies traded of which 9 were in the green, 18 retreated and 3 remained unchanged.
