The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended its first session in October in the green, and for the third successive session, adding 0.47% or 23.94 pts to 5130.23 pts.
A total of 54.57 million shares changed hands at AED 184.50 million through 1495 transactions.
The energy and banking sectors supported the benchmark index’s gains today, rising by 1.04% and 0.47%, respectively, as Dana Gas surged by 2.91%, whereas TAQA fell 2.61%.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) added 1.53%, 0.43% and 0.27%, respectively. The real estate sector’s 0.21% decline did not affect the index today.
A total of 32 companies traded today, of which 15 were in the green, 7 were in the red and 10 remained unchanged.
