The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) is witnessing low trading on Thursday, one day before the Eid Al Adha Holidays and as Emaar Malls commences trading on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).

As at 11:36 am Dubai time, the ADX fell 0.57% or 30 pts to 5101 pts, staying slightly about the level of 5100 pts.

Trading value and volume are weak as around 28 million shares traded at AED 87 million through 865 transactions.

A total of 24 companies have traded so far, of which 4 gained, 4 remained unchanged and 15 retreated.

National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) led decliners dropping 9.99%. Meanwhile, real estate sector companies including Aldar and Eshraq were also in the red, falling 1.79% and 1.56%, respectively.

Meanwhile, on the DFM, Emaar Malls continues in the green, surging by 11.72%, whereas 27 other companies are in the red as Emaar Malls attracts all market liquidity.

Turnover is seen at more than AED 1.8 billion with more than 8450 transactions being executed.
