Aramex founder and Vice Chairman Fadi Ghandour said that the logistics and transportation solutions provider is targeting at least two acquisitions in 2015 as part of the Company’s growth and expansion strategy.

Aramex, which is in talks with large firms such as DHL and FedEx, said that it is planning to acquire companies in emerging markets in Africa, Asia and Turkey, news agency Reuters quoted Ghandour as saying, adding that Aramex seeks to expand in Africa.

Firms in emerging markets have a priority in the upcoming acquisitions, he noted, but refused to give any further details.

It is worth noting that the Dubai-based Company had recently acquired Australia’s Mail Call Couriers. Moreover, Aramex had acquired South African courier company Berco Express in 2011, as part of its expansion plans in the African continent.

Aramex’s capital amounts to AED 1.464 billion divided on 1.464 billion shares at par value AED 1 per share.
