Statistics by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) reveal a continued decline in mobile subscribers in the UAE for the third successive month.

Both the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation “Etisalat” and the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company “du” lost 147,100 subscribers in August. Accordingly, the two operators lost a total of 332,100 subscribers within three months.

TRA statistics show that the number of mobile subscribers fell to 16.85 million in August compared to 17 million in July.
