ADNOC Distribution has cut the price of diesel fuel in all its service stations in the northern regions of the UAE including Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, reported Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The price cut which is effective as of November 4, 2014, will bring down the price of diesel from AED 3.45 to AED 3.05 per litre, a reduction of 40 fils per litre.

Commenting on the price cut, ADNOC Distribution Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications Khalid Hadi stated "The reduction in diesel price reflects the ongoing changes in the global price of oil. We have also taken into account the demand of the local market as part of our priority to serve the interests of our consumers better. ADNOC Distribution’s decision to effect the price change will also contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the business sector in the country, specifically in the northern regions." Hadi added, "ADNOC Distribution will continue to explore opportunities to retail products and services at affordable prices in order to provide a seamless experience to our customers at our network of service stations."
