Abu Dhabi Airports see 17.4% traveller rise in Oct
Abu Dhabi International Airport has seen around 1.69 million passengers pass through it in October 2014 compared to 1.44 million during the same month last year, registering an increase by as much as 17.4%.

Aircraft movements were recorded 13,700 movements during the month compared to 11,891 during the corresponding period in 2013, registering 15.2% rise, according to Khaleej Times, adding that cargo activity also saw a rise by 16%.

“Abu Dhabi International Airport continued to see double digit growth in passenger numbers in October and was especially busy at the start of the month for the Eid Al Adha holiday and the hajj season. The airport will continue to invest in enhancing its services and connectivity to attract more traffic to the capital. In late October, we unveiled the newly renovated Al Reem Lounge, a further example of our commitment to offering travelers the best possible experience as more and more of them visit Abu Dhabi,” stated Ahmad Al Haddabi, chief operations officer (COO) at Abu Dhabi Airports, commenting on the newly-released figures.
