DFM sees highest daily gains in a decade

 

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) soared by nearly 13% an hour before closing on Thursday, recording its highest daily gains in 10 years, adding 394 points to 3427 points, according to statistics by Mubasher.

These gains were achieved following price leaps made by leading stocks including Emaar Properties, Arabtec Holding, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), Emirates NBD and Dubai Investments (DI), which collectively saw gains reaching 15%.

The DFM’s top sectors saw major leaps, as the real estate, investment, banking and telecoms sectors soared by 14.6%, 14.7%, 11.4% and 13.35%, respectively.

Turnover jumped to AED 1.5 billion as 868.7 million shares were traded through 12.66 THD transactions.
