Ducab building new aluminum facility

Ducab building new aluminum facility
Abu Dhabi Ports Co. (ADPC) said in a press release that Ducab Aluminum Co. broke ground for its new aluminum facility at Kizad.
In May, Ducab had signed a Musataha lease agreement with ADPC, and announced that it would build an AED 220 million aluminum facility.
Ducab expects the plant to open in the fourth quarter of 2015.
When complete, the new plant will manufacture Electrical Conductive (EC) grade aluminum alloy rods, wires, and bare overhead conductors.
Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, chairman of Ducab, said: “By setting up a facility in Kizad, we will further enhance our production output and focus on the manufacturing of high end products tailored to the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s customers. Our Kizad facility will considerably widen our business opportunities and further strengthen our position on the national and global map of cable manufacturing.”
