Lebanon has taken part in the 10th Arab Energy Conference which is currently taking place in UAE’s Abu Dhabi, during the period of December 21-23, under the theme ‘Energy and Arab Cooperation’, reported the Lebanese National News Agency.

The Conference is being organized by the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).

The official Lebanese delegation included President of the Petroleum Administration Gaby Daaboul, the Board Member Assem Abou Ibrahim, and Lebanon's Consul in Abu Dhabi Hadi Hashem.

Daaboul addressed the audience at the Conference, saying that Lebanon, which launched the first offshore licensing round in its coastal waters, encourages the Arab energy companies, mainly petroleum firms, as well as services companies to enter the Lebanese petroleum activity.

Noteworthy, the Conference received several official delegations, international authorities, experts, in addition to Ministers of Energy from several Arab countries.

During the Conference, the discussions included the region current situation of Oil and gas markets; energy resources, its consumption, and how to rationalize it; technological development in such field; as well as energy and sustainable development.
