Dubai – Mubasher: Emaar Properties denied news about the resignation of its board chairman, Mohammed Al-Abbar.

The Dubai-listed firm said in a statement that Al-Abbar is committed to the company he helped found in 1997.

The chairman is one of the most active shareholders in the company and will continue to lead it towards new markets as well as boost its basic operations to create long-term added value for shareholders, Emaar said.

This follows the circulation of rumours by local media reporting that Al-Abbar left Emaar and moved to another company.
