Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE’s consumer price index rose by 4.31% in March, compared with the same month a year earlier, according to a report issued by official statistics body.
The country’s CPI also rose by 0.90% in March to 124.71 points compared with 123.60 points in February, 2015, the National Bureau of Statistics added.
Foodstuff and beverages prices fell by 0.13% month-on-month in March, while prices of oil, fruits, mineral water, soft drinks and vegetables rose.
Tobacco prices declined in March by 0.14% compared with February.
In March, prices rose 0.77% m-o-m in Abu Dhabi, 0.20% in Dubai and 1.85% in Sharjah.
