Qatar bourse ended Sunday’s session on an up note, boosted by the positive performance of real estate and banking stocks. Qatar All Share Index gained 0.22%, or 27.6 pts, to 12578.58 pts.
Ahmad Abdel Hameed, managing director at Watheqa Securities, stated that the Qatari shares ended today’s session on an up note, rising 27.6 pts, to 12578 pts.
He, in a phone call, expected the index to maintain its positive performance, targeting 12627 pts; its highest level since June 2008.
A total of 31.5 million shares changed hands, at a total value of QAR 1.095 billion. Ezdan was the top mover to the upside, soaring 9.89% to QAR 34.45, while Gulf Warehousing was the worst performer, falling 2.59% to QAR 56.50.
Mazaya topped most actives by trading value as QAR 103.9 million were generated after exchanging 4.9 million shares.
Vodafone Qatar recorded the largest volume of 6.3 million shares.
