Qatar bourse trims losses, ends up
Qatar bourse ended today on an up note, trimming morning losses, boosted by blue chips. Qatar All Share Index gained 0.17% to 12961.56 pts, extending its uptrend for the seventh straight session.

Ihab Rashad, CEO at Mubasher Brokerage, stated that banking stocks boosted the market in the last minutes to shrink its early losses.

Banks gained 0.59%, as Doha Bank advanced 6% to its highest level since debut, Qatar International rose 1.97% while Qatar National Bank increased 1.71%.

Investors headed to cash-ins to make use of the previous rises. Selling may continue over the coming sessions.

Industrials dropped 0.38%, as UDC fell 3.26%, Investors Group 3.04% and Gulf International (1.24%). Industries Qatar rose 0.55%. Liquidity decline is a normal matter especially after it reached historical levels over the previous sessions. This may signal a wave of correction.

Trading value fell to QAR 1.88 billion, as more than 35.7 million shares changed hands.

Ezdan was the top mover to the upside, soaring 9.98% to QAR 45.75. Al Khaliji was amongst decliners, retreating 8.36% to QAR 23.69.
