HC Securities, the financial advisor, has estimated the fair price for purchasing a 51% stake in Global Telecom Holding's Algerian unit Djezzy at $2.539 billion, which is 4% lower than the proposed price.
Global's parent firm, Russia-based Vimplecom, agreed to sell the stake in Algeria's biggest telecoms operator to the Algerian government for $2.6 billion.
