There are nearly 10 million Egyptians working abroad, said Mohamed Rayan, Head of General Union of Egyptians Abroad (GUEA), noting that their remittances rank fifth worldwide.
Speaking before an economic conference held in Cairo, Rayan said remittances rose from $9.5 billion to $22 billion last year, which reflects the confidence of Egyptians working abroad in the Egyptian economy.
