Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor Hisham Ramez announced on Sunday that the Suez Canal investment certificates recorded EGP 64 billion proceeds.
Individuals accounted for 82% of the certificates proceeds, while institutions made up the remaining 18%, Ramez told reporters.
The top official stressed that the tremendous turnout for the certificates was a success for the nation and a further push for the economy.
