The Egyptian Kuwaiti Economic Committee has concluded its second meeting in Cairo on Tuesday, during which the two sides discussed means to boost cooperation in oil, investment and industry sectors.
Sources close to the situation said the two-day event saw the activation of investment and oil plants between Kuwait and Egypt. They expected $2 billion worth of Kuwaiti investments to be injected in the Egyptian economy till the end of this year in a number of projects across the investment, oil, industry and energy sectors, according to Al Seyassah newspaper.
The Egyptian side has requested from the Kuwaiti side to boost the volume of oil shipments to more than 2 million barrels monthly in light of the need of the Egyptian market.
