Egypt to upgrade existing oil infrastructure - minister
Egypt’s Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail announced that several projects will be launched in the upcoming period, adding that the existing oil infrastructure would be upgraded, according to State Information Service (SIS).
The statement came during the minister’s visit to Upper Egyptian provinces of Assiut and Minya. He toured the ministry's key projects in the two provinces and held meetings with top officials.
During the visit, the Minister inaugurated the project on introducing natural gas to homes in Akhmim city, as 7,800 housing units had been provided with natural gas so far out of 12,000 ones that would be finished late current year.
The Minister also inaugurated, shoulder to shoulder with Sohag governor Mahmoud Atiq, first gasoline station offering the natural gas service in al-Aref Bellah area.
