ME economy to rise 3.4% - IIF
The Institute of International Finance (IIF) said it expects that the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region will witness a growth in the gross domestic production (GDP) by 2.8% in 2014, and 3.4% in 2015, compared to 2.7% in 2013.

The Institute expected the GDP in the region to amount to $3.15 trillion in 2014. Meanwhile, the GDP in the Gulf is anticipated to reach $1.71 trillion in the same year.

Earlier in October, the World Bank predicted that the economy in the MENA region will rise by 4.5% in 2015.

The IIF reported that the GDP of oil-importing countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia and Syria, will amount to $2.1 billion, registering a growth by 2.1%.
