The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, will issue treasury bills on Sunday, Oct. 26 at a total value of nearly EGP 6 billion, according to Youm7 newspaper.
The state’s budget deficit is likely to reach EGP 240 billion at the end of the current fiscal year. This deficit is financed through the offering of bonds and treasury bills by the central bank, as well as government debt instruments and aids from Arab countries.
